Southwest metro Republicans are featuring Rep Jim Nash (R, Waconia) and Rep. Jerry Hertaus (R, Greenfield) as part of our online Pints & Pent-up meet-ups on Wednesday evening, April 14.
Jim Nash and Jerry Hertaus both serve in the Minnesota House.
Rep. Nash is the Assistant Minority Leader in the House. He is also the chief author of the “Free the Growler” bill. Rep. Hertaus is the Republican lead on the Property Tax Division Committee and has authored various election reform measures.
Rep. Greg Boe was intending to join us, but has been hospitalized with complications due to COVID-19.
Reps. Nash and Hertaus will talk about current actions in the legislature and what it has been like working with the DFL majority in the House. They will then take questions from the audience that are submitted through the chat feature on Zoom. Queries about the state budget, omnibus bills, education initiatives, proposed automobile emission restrictions, state energy policies, and other efforts going on in the legislature will be welcome.

You will need a computer with a built-in camera and speakers to fully enjoy this Pints & Pent-up format. However, if your computer doesn’t have a camera and speakers – or if you don’t have a computer – you are still in luck. You can use your phone to call into this meeting and still participate.
This free online networking event will start at 7 pm, with sign-in open at 6:30 pm. By necessity, it will be more in the format of a Meet & Greet, where our speakers will make a few minutes of remarks followed by a question & answer period.
Please RSVP by scrolling down no later than Tuesday, April 13, so we can send you out a link and/or a call-in number and access code.
