MNGOP Seniors May 2016 Meeting

The MN GOP Seniors will be featuring DR. TERRENCE FLOWERS for their May program.  His subject will be “WHY SCIENTISTS DISAGREE ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE”.  He will contrast the scientific method with political science, giving some insight into public policy implications.

Dr. Terrence Flowers is a graduate of, and later, Professor of Physics at the US Air Force Academy, class of 1964.  In the Air Force, he trained pilots in the T-33 and T-38 jet aircraft and was responsible for the aerodynamic education of all Air Force pilot trainees at ten bases.  He earned his MS and PhD at the University of Wyoming and settled in Hastings, MN.  He taught Physics and Astronomy at St. Catherine University for 33 years, served as the Department Chair and was the Endowed Chair of Science.  His research has taken him from the Antarctic to the Arctic and he has led numerous student courses across the South Pacific and Europe.
