MINNESOTA LEADERS OF GOP PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNS TO DEBATE AT LINCOLN DAY EVENT
Minnesota Republican Party Deputy Chair Chris Fields will moderate discussions on economy, illegal immigrants and the national debt at the Metro Republican Women’s high tea in Mendota Heights
GOP Deputy Chair Chris Fields will lead a discussion with Minnesota representatives of major presidential campaigns at the Metro Republican Women’s Annual Lincoln Day Tea. Minnesota leaders for campaigns of Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson are expected to be on the panel. Campaign leaders will share experiences in Minnesota and the key values their candidates represent.
“President Lincoln was known for his quality debates, the encounters with Mr. Douglas. We are pleased that Chris Fields will host this forum, which invites discussion on the challenging issues being addressed on the campaign trail,” said Margaret Flower, the president of Metro Republican Women.
Chris Fields was elected deputy chair for the Minnesota Republicans in 2014. He completed his 21 years in the United States Marine Corps.
Mendakota County Club will provide all the delicate offering of a high tea, including, finger sandwiches, scones and pastries. Tea will be served in distinctive teapots and cups with all the traditional accoutrements. Coffee is also available. The Lincoln Day Tea has been a tradition of MRW for the past 12 years.
The February 13 event begins with registration at 12:30 pm and is followed by a buffet and panel presentation. The cost is $25 and $10 for students. Reservations are encouraged. Go to metrogopwomen.org to pay online or to make a reservation and pay at the door. Please RSVP by Tuesday, February 9.
