2022 could be a turning point in Minnesota politics. However, nothing will change unless we work for it.
Urban children are being shot while city leaders push to defund the police. Car-jackings and house invasions are spilling out into the suburbs. Mask mandates and stay-at-home orders have not stopped a fourth wave of COVID 19 infections while our young fall further behind in their education. Teachers’ unions are promoting courses grounded in a Critical Race Theory that serve to divide and re-segregate our society.
Congressional and state-wide races could well prove pivotal in determining the future direction of the country. Congress and the Minnesota legislature are very narrowly divided, and the swing of even a few seats could have a significant effect on the direction of public policy.
A key question: What will it take for conservative candidates to gain more voters in the Minneapolis metropolitan area?
Our annual “Fall Conversation” will take place on Thursday, November 4. It will probe the challenges and opportunities for conservative candidates. MN Senator Mark Koran, professional writer, coach and national speaker Sheila Qualls, and political strategist and observer Lonny Leitner will give us their thoughts and answer our questions. They offer inspiring life experiences, knowledge of diverse communities and political campaigns, and motivating enthusiasm.
We are pleased to have Kyle Hooten, a speechwriter, author, reporter, and podcast host for Alpha News, as our moderator
Our “Fall Conversation” fundraiser includes a social hour starting at 6:30 pm at the Edina Country Club. SCROLL DOWN to buy early-bird tickets for this event and secure your place as a part of the Conversation.
