We are looking for volunteers to join us in the Edina 4th of July Parade. Edina has announced that the parade is on and will be held on Saturday, July 3. If you will be in town, put this on your calendar. We will be marching for fun, to spend time with friends, to support our beliefs, and maybe even get some exercise.
Edina has not announced all parade details yet but it will begin at 10 a.m. The parade website estimates 20,000 people will attend the parade, so we will send out a recommended meet-up spot where parking will be available. The route begins on Willson Rd north of the Edina Community Center, moves north to city hall (4801 50th St. W) then continues east on 50th Street until the intersection near Lunds & Byerlys.
The parade is a 1-mile leisurely walk that, in past years, would continue until 1:00 pm. The pace is sedate enough for everyone from toddlers to those in their 80’s to keep up. \We will carry signs supporting our causes. Everyone is invited—friends and family, old and young. There is no cost to you.
Please scroll down to volunteer. We ask for your contact information, so that we can follow up with you a few days before the parade on where we will meet, details of the parade route and where to park. Wear red, if you can and dress appropriately for the weather. If you have any questions call Joel Quinnell at 651-785-6468
