Fall Conversation with Kendall Qualls & Lacy Johnson

2020 will be a monumental year in politics in Minnesota. The Presidential race is garnering the most attention, but Congressional races could well prove pivotal in determining the future direction of the country. What will it take for Republican candidates for Congress to successfully run in the Minneapolis metropolitan area?

Our annual “Fall Conversation” will take place on Friday, November 22.  It will probe the challenges and opportunities in running for Congress in our area. Kendall Qualls and Lacy Johnson will give us their thoughts and answer our questions. Both are seeking endorsement in their Congressional districts, and both bring inspiring life stories and motivating enthusiasm to their campaigns.

Kendall Qualls is running for Congress in Congressional District 3. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, healthcare executive, and community volunteer. He has described himself as going from ghetto kid and trailer trash to a veteran, businessman, husband, and father. Qualls is the executive vice president with PotentiaMetrics, an Austin, Texas-based data analytics company

Lacy Johnson is running for Congress in Congressional District 5. Starting in engineering, systems development, and project management, Lacy has gone on to found three small businesses dedicated to the economic development, technology training, and education within inner city communities. He has been married to his wife Betty and a resident of North Minneapolis for over 40 years.

Max Rymer will again moderate the conversation. He is host of the Republican Roundtable with a unique perspective on politics. Under Max’s guidance, our guests will share their thoughts and field your questions. Expect a lively and interactive discussion.

Our “Fall Conversation” fundraiser includes a social hour starting at 6:30 pm at the Edina Country Club. Doors open at 6:15 pm. Scroll down to buy tickets for this event and be a part of the Conversation.
