Bloomington Heritage Days Parade September 21

The 10th annual Heritage Days Parade will kick off on Saturday, September 21. Join Republicans from Senate Districts 49 and 50 to show our colors through Bloomington.

We will be supporting our candidates and causes. We will carry signs, wave flags, give candy to kids, smile and have a good time. This is a family-friendly event. Children are welcome to walk in the parade with us.

Plan to arrive by 10:00 am. The parade begins at 10:30 am. The staging area for the parade is on 3rd Ave South between W. 98th St. and 102nd Street. We have been assigned position 68. Dress comfortably for the weather and bring water if necessary. Wear a red shirt or red, white and blue to show our colors.

The organizers have asked us to emphasize two points to our walkers: 1) Don’t toss items to kids/crowd - hand to individuals, so children stay safe and don’t dart into the street. 2) At the end of the parade, when we turn onto Harriet Ave., keep moving (about 4 blocks) so units behind us can also make the turn.

Scroll down and register to let us know you can join us. A few days before the parade, we will email you a reminder of the space number to look for in the staging area (it's 68). All Republicans are welcome to join us. See the Bloomington Heritage Days web site for parking and shuttle bus service information.
